The Big Apple! // techie heaven
I went here today. Not for fun, (I don't really get into stuff like that) to save a very sick MacBook. Not mine, J's. (it's easier when you're not emotionally invested to do something like this...he was a wreck last night.)
Diagnosis via the Genius Bar (really cool concept, by the way!) was the hard drive is dead & cannot be recovered. J's warranty was up 2 weeks ago.
Moral of the story: I LOVE COMPANIES THAT HONOR EXPIRED WARRANTIES! $0.00 to replace the hard drive and a chipped top case. Oh, and get AppleCare, it's probably a good investment.

NOTE: It took less than 24 hours to have J's MacBook 100% better and, I can pick it up anytime because they are open 24/365. that's right. crazy.
